Purple Grove news
It was a nice snowy weekend to enjoy some skiing, and possibly some extra TV time watching curling and the Superbowl.
Hope everyone had a chance to relax for a bit, after all, we’ve got only six more weeks of winter!
Also heard there have been a lot of folks down with colds and flu, or in hospital and housebound – get well wishes from all your Purple Grove friends.
Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the families of Clarence Jarvis and Bud Hamilton who recently passed away.
Congratulations to all those recognized at the Remarkable Citizens celebration in Teeswater, hosted by Lisa Thompson. The event was well-attended and honoured many Huron-Bruce people and their talents.
Congratulations also to Dave and Veronika Cook on winning the “Win this Space” contest! We look forward to your restaurant business venture and being there too!
The February Women's Institute meeting will be at the home of Fran Farrell, Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 1:30 pm. Roll Call – "A Concern you have for Canada." That’s sure to provoke some great conversation! Everyone welcome. Call Fran for more information.
Have a great week everyone, and a bit of humour to share: "The first five days after the weekend are the hardest!"
