Bervie W.I. presents comfort packs to Kincardine Fire Department

For the third year in a row, the Bervie Women's Institute has presented comfort packs to the Kincardine Fire Department.

Each pack contains a book, blanket and bear to help a child in crisis. Donating these to emergency departments, including fire, police and ambulance, is part of the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario (FWIO) 121^st anniversary activities.

Kincardine fire chief Kent Padfield welcomed the donation, saying it's important to have these on hand to give to a child during a fire call, motor vehicle accident or other incident.

The comfort packs will be placed in fire trucks at both the Kincardine and Tiverton stations.
