Cheryl Cottrill named Bruce Power Citizen of the Year

Cheryl Cottrill (above, with Duncan Hawthorne at the Handbags for Hospice event last fall) has been named the Bruce Power Citizen of the Year.

The announcement was made Friday night at the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce annual community achievement awards held at Ainsdale Golf Course, south of Kincardine. Cottrill was absent so the award was accepted by Kincardine chief administrative officer Sharon Chambers.

Heather Shewfelt won the inaugural BMO Woman of Distinction award.

• Jacques Law Youth Programing Excellence Award – Mark “Howie” Long
