KNOX PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

A Rummage Sale will be held at Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church, Thursday, April 19, from 1-7 p.m.; and Friday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to Noon. Donations for the sale may be brought to the church Monday, April 16, from Noon to 6 p.m.; and Tuesday, April 17, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please bring seasonal clothing, linens, footwear and books. Please NO curtains.

LIBRARY NEWS

It's never too early to introduce literacy! Come out Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. for Baby Time. This program for babies uses songs, stories and rhymes to introduce new words and sounds to baby's developing brain. Suitable for up to 24 months of age.

MANOR MUSINGS

March was a milestone for many residents at Tiverton Park Manor. Joyce Van Dam turned an amazing 99, March 8. Joyce is as active as she was 10 years ago. At 99, she communicates with her friends and relatives here and back in Holland. You can’t keep this woman down!

It was also Irene Gowing’s 90^th birthday, March 20. Family and friends joined everyone at the manor for a birthday celebration.

It was also Rosa Aeschlimann's 92^nd birthday, March 16, and some of her Swiss friends, from Smith's Yodeling in Milverton, came in to yodel. They were so fantastic with their melody. After each song, they translated from Swiss German dialect to English what the song was about. They also brought in their Alphorn and played “Amazing Grace” on it. It was a great treat for the residents and staff. We can't wait to get them back again.
