Bervie W.I. learns about health and essential oils
Health and essential oils was the theme when the Bervie Women's Institute met at the hall, Wednesday, May 2, at 10 a.m.
Thirteen members and one guest answered the Roll Call – Something you know about essential oils. Many use oils and most were familiar with them.
During the business portion of the meeting, it was decided that a donation of $200 will be made to the Lyme Disease project at the University of Guelph, which the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario (FWIO) is supporting.
Several will attend the District Annual at Chesley, May 24, with Ellen Waye supplying the door prize for the Heritage Fair at Paisley in August. Diane Wilson presented a draft resolution to be presented at the District Annual on recycling information and easier access to compostable garbage bags. Home Hardware carries them and they can be ordered on-line at Walmart.
The Plant Sale will take place at the hall, Saturday, May 19, from 8 a.m. to Noon.
Ellen Waye introduced Adrienne Pollock who gave us an interesting talk about Do Terra Essential Oils and what several of the more common ones are used for.
The next meeting will be at the hall, June 6, at 10 a.m. when South Bruce OPP officer Kevin Martin will speak about avoiding scams – please join us.
