South Bruce OPP report thefts; drug charges; and prom party problems
POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN PROPERTY
(GREENOCK TWP, ON) - May 31, at 2 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at a garage located in the 700 block of Bruce County Road 15 in Greenock Township.
Sometime between 2 p.m. May 28, and 1:30 p.m. May 31, the garage was forcibly entered. The list of missing property includes:
- A camo-coloured Suzuki All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), with Licence No. 33DB2
- A red Polaris side-by-side with Licence No. PV173
- Three orange/white Stihl chainsaws
- Brown Champion generator
- Camo-coloured Horton crossbow
The value of the stolen items is estimated to be $17,900.
POLICE SEARCHING FOR STOLEN TRUCK
(BRANT TWP, ON) - May 31, at 2:52 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report a theft at a residence in the 1300 block of Concession 8 in Brant Township.
Sometime between 9:30 p.m. May 30, and 2:45 a.m. May 31, a blue GMC Sierra pick-up truck, with Licence No. 911 1FP, was taken. The truck has blue headlights, tinted windows and after-market rims. At the time of the theft, there was a 400-litre fuel tank on the back and an assortment of tools in the truck. There is no estimate on the value of the stolen truck available at this time.
OPP DRUG WARRANT EXECUTED
(KINCARDINE, ON) - May 31, members of the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit and South Bruce OPP officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property along Queen Street in Kincardine.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized methamphetamine and several unidentified pills. The estimated value of the seized controlled substances is $600.
Police also seized offence-related property that consisted of digital scales, packaging material and a cell phone.
Fifty-four-year-old Chris HARRIS of Kincardine was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. He is scheduled to appear in court June 27, to answer to the charge.
POLICE CONTINUING TO INVESTIGATE AFTER-PROM PARTY
(BRANT TWP, ON) - May 27, at 12:55 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received a request to assist paramedics with a call in the 1100 block of Concession 12 in Brant Township.
Officers attended with Bruce County Paramedics and members of the Walkerton Fire Department to find a large party in progress.
Officers laid charges under the Liquor Licence Act of Ontario, while at the scene:
- 18-year-old Shelburne teen charged with public intoxication and obstruct peace officer
- 18-year-old Melancthon Township teen was charged with open alcohol
- 20-year-old Huron-Kinloss Township woman was charged with open alcohol
Members of the South Bruce OPP and the South Bruce OPP Criminal Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate four incidents that were reported to police at the scene:
- Two reports of sexual assault
- A report of an assault with a weapon
- A report of an assault
