Girls' Night Out in Wingham is good mix of education and entertainment

June 2, 2018

Girls’ Night Out, held May 5 in Wingham, was a crowd-pleasing evening of education and entertainment.

Dr. Robin Milhausen, a respected sexuality researcher at the University of Guelph, provided a comprehensive interactive presentation, including facts about sexting, exemplifying acronyms and meanings that can be used.

She also stressed how sexuality and relationships may be impacted throughout one’s lifetime, beginning with early relationships, to changes due to having children and teenagers in the home, separation, divorce and the aging process.

Misty Trainer and her models from The Loop in Kincardine exhibited spring and fall fashions.

After a delicious dinner, prepared by Sue Doig and staff, attendees were thrilled to participate in Zumba and Pound, led by Carol Phillips and Janice Jacobs; games facilitated by Kristy Rouse, Stephanie Perry and Joe Carter; and a silent action.

Proceeds from the evening will go to the Wingham and District Hospital to enhance palliative care, and to #IVEGOTYOURBACK911 in support of First Responders.
