KDSS students mark OSAID Week with activities
Prior to the Victoria Day long weekend, May 14-18, was Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving (OSAID) Week at Kincardine District Secondary School.

Students were educated about the dangers of drinking and/or drugging and driving.

Activities included: wearing impaired goggles and driving through an obstacle course on oversized tricycles, quizzes, pledges, BYOB (Bring Your Own Bowl) sundaes, and a actual car-wreck on site as a reminder.

A big thank you to teacher Christine Newton and the KDSS OSAID club, the South Bruce OPP and to Huron Auto Wreckers for their support of this event.

Two KDSS students, Athena Closs and Kenzie Ford, also travelled to Niagara College in Welland, for the National Youth Summit on Drugs and Distracted Driving, held May 10-13. Appreciation to The Co-operators for supporting the two students' attendance at the summit.
