South Bruce OPP report theft, alcohol charges, and prom party investigation continues
POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN SCOOTER
(CHESLEY, ON) - June 3, at 11:15 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at a residence along 1
st Avenue South in Chesley.
Sometime between 3-11 a.m. June 3, a black Eton Beamer 3 scooter, with Licence No. 8F9W4, was taken. There is no estimate on the value of the stolen scooter available at this time.
IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT
(TARA, ON) - June 3, at 4:40 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a possible impaired driver in a dark blue/grey pick-up truck.
Officers located the vehicle on Union Street in Tara and the driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Forty-seven-year-old Joseph GIRARD of Arran-Elderslie Township was charged with impaired care or control, care or control over-80 milligrams, fail to identify, and novice driver with blood alcohol above zero. He is scheduled to appear in court July 4, to answer to the charges.
THREE-DAY SUSPENSION SERVED AT RIDE CHECK
(KINLOSS TWP, ON) - June 3, at 5:01 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE check on the Kincardine-Kinloss Line in Kinloss Township, when a pick-up truck was stopped.
Officers found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. The driver was served with a three-day driver's licence suspension following a warn result at the road side.
POLICE SEEKING WITNESS INFORMATION IN AFTER PROM PARTY INCIDENT
(BRANT TWP, ON) - The South Bruce OPP and the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit are continuing to investigate a report of sexual assault during the early morning hours of May 27, at a property in the 1100 block of Concession 12, Brant Township.
Officers want to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the assault, intervened, or otherwise assisted the assault victim.
