Reader questions new design of gas stations along Highway 21

To the Editor:
RE: “Crowd gathers for ribbon-cutting at new Amberley General Store”

I don’t know why all new gas stations have this design with gas pumps perpendicular to the road. Ever try to get a trailer in there?

There is no place, between Forest and Port Elgin, for a truck and trailer to easily get gas on Highway 21.

This is supposed to be a tourist area. Don’t we want to attract people travelling with trailers to stop?
