Kincardine losing two doctors in July
Kincardine is losing two of its newest doctors this summer.

Gerry Glover, chief executive officer of the Kincardine Family Health Team, announced Monday that Dr. Rejean Duwyn and
Dr. Steven Poirier (R) are closing their medical practices at the Kincardine Community Medical Clinic, effective July 17.
Duwyn came to Kincardine in July, 2010, while Poirier arrived in June, 2012.
In a press release, Glover states that their colleagues have appreciated both Duwyn and Poirier for providing medical services to the community.
Until replacement physicians are recruited, the medical team will do its best to continue to provide care for all of the patients.
The medical clinic and the family health team are engaged in discussions with the physician recruiter, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and the Municipality of Kincardine, in an effort to ensure patients' ongoing medical needs are met.
A co-ordinated plan is currently under development and affected patients and the public will be able to access the latest developments via the information line, states the press release. People can call
519-396-4300 at any time to access the latest updates in this regard.
"We realize these practice closures will result in inconvenience and stress and we seek your understanding as we transition through this process," states the release. "To ensure consistent and timely flow of information, patients and the public are urged to contact the information line, established for this purpose, rather than contacting individual physician offices."
