Reader hopes ServiceOntario will re-open soon in Kincardine

To the Editor:
RE: “Kincardine ServiceOntario provider has left the building”

This is a very sad situation.

I don’t understand why getting staff is such a problem. It seems that every service industry, whether it's restaurants, retail stores or government services, is under-staffed and has to reduce the hours it is open or now in this case close the doors!

Maybe the solution is more training and some incentives for those on unemployment insurance or on public assistance to get them back into the workforce and being self-sufficient.

With summer approaching, hopefully, students will be here looking for summer employment and will help out the issue with restaurants and retail.

Hopefully, the staffing situation will be rectified and the ServiceOntario office will re-open soon.
