Thanks to first responders at downtown Kincardine fire
To the Editor:
At about 2:30 in the morning, March 11, my life changed forever.
As I sat on the sidewalk watching my apartment burn, I was appreciative for many things.
Firstly, that we all got out safely and without injury.
Next, was the fabulous, high-fashion pillowcase footwear that an EMT was kind enough to fashion for me to help keep my feet warm.
And finally, the incredible response from emergency services.
I want to publicly thank the EMTs, police, and firefighters from Kincardine, Ripley-Huron, Tiverton and Saugeen Shores for everything they did to quickly contain the fire, save neighbouring homes and businesses, and more importantly, for making us feel safe at such a difficult time.
Your hard work, kindness and even laughter, were very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Alison Turner
