While I agree there are many problems moving kids from school-to-school, having a super school is not the answer.
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten children should never be in the same school as Grade 12 students.
Police are often seen arresting 16- and 17-year-old teenagers in school, and it is a well-known fact that drugs and alcohol are problems in high schools.
Younger children should not be exposed to these things.

I totally agree!
It's a mess and yes, we need a new high school for sure. Super schools have been around for quite a few years now so let's not be afraid of changes.
As a supply teacher, I saw some (not all) students in Grades 7 and 8 really not fitting into that environment anymore. Being surrounded by younger students was just not helping them with socialization. But this is just my observation.
Your article was very informative for newcomers to our town.
