Dedicated boardwalk gardeners ready to throw in the trowel
To the Editor:

A local tourist attraction is in jeopardy.

Some plot-caretakers with the Friends of the Boardwalk in Kincardine, are becoming frustrated and dismayed with the ongoing two-year problem with the faulty sprinkler system. It has consistently kept some plots dry with others being flooded.

The municipal employees have done their best to try and correct this, to no avail.

This year, it has been evident that high-iron or something is colouring all the rockery and even into some of the plants and anything painted with an orange colouring.

Surely with our high water levels, minimal beach area, and limited downtown shopping, can we really afford to have people stop coming to appreciate the boardwalk gardens?

Hopefully, the municipality can look into a solution to keep any more of the dedicated gardeners from throwing in the trowel.
