Sunny but cool for first men's interclub event at Ainsdale

June 1 brought sunny skies, tepid weather and 69 golfers to the first men's interclub event of 2015 hosted at Ainsdale Golf Course.
 

A Flight winners: 1st Herb Cowen and 2nd Brandon Rumph, both of Pike Lake, 3rd Don Turcotte and 4th Blair Chaput, both of Ainsdale.
 

B Flight winners: 1st Toni Hansen, 2nd Liam Hamilton, and 3rd Matt Laxton, all of Pike Lake, 4th Bill Wood of Ainsdale.
 

C Flight winners: 1st Omar Basic of Pike Lake, 2nd Jim Grobowski, 3rd Ken Gardner, both of Ainsdale, and 4th Stu Homuth of Ironwood.
 

D Flight winners: 1st Walter Hogg of Ainsdale, 2nd Bill Peters of Sunset, 3rd Don Gifford and 4th Joe Wilson, both of Ironwood.
 

E Flight winners: 1st Dave Mackay of Ainsdale, 2nd Tom Morris of Sunset, Frank Formica of Pike Lake, and 4th Al Mackay of Ainsdale.
 

Season points after the first round are: Ainsdale 48, Pike Lake 36, Sunset 42, Ironwood 8.
 

Golfing was followed by the usual bragging on the patio, and then a delicious chicken and beef banquet, complete with dessert, provided by the reliable chefs at Ainsdale.
