Good weather brings out the best in most of the Ainsdale ladies

The good weather brought out the best in most of the Ainsdale ladies, Tuesday.

Chris MacDonald assumed the poll position for B flight with a blazing 30.63 Stableford points, Jackie Mitchell led the way in D flight with 32.50 points, and not to be outdone, Nancy Stewart put on a putting clinic with 12 putts on the back nine.

 

The flight winners for Stableford points were:
 

  • A Nancy Stewart 29.57
  • B Chris MacDonald 30.63
  • C Barb McBride 30.68
  • D Jackie Mitchell 32.50
  • E Deborah Brindley 31.95
  • F Joanne Wilson

 

The flight winners for low putts were: 
 

  • A Nancy Stewart 12
  • B Dawn Wiseman 15
  • C Marlene Morrow 15
  • D Norma Jean Rhody 15
  • E Jan Kelly 20
  • F Jeanne Grobowsky 17

 

The sponsored-hole winners for closest to the line were:  Cathy Chambers,  Barb Lansink,  Wendy Houghton,  Jackie MItchell,  Norie Dickson. The longest drives were awarded to Debbie Catto,  Dawn Wiseman,  Wendy Houghton,  Robin Ballantyne,  Jeanette Barnes, and  closest to the sprinkler head went to Christine MacDonald.

SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE
 

The team of Dave Hannay, Kenton Ehgoetz, Paul Pickett and Harry Ferrier, won the senior men's league event, Wednesday, with a minus-three for nine holes. 

Closest to the pin champs were organizer Gary Firth at No. 3 and Dave Hodgson at No. 8. 

In total, 50 players enjoyed a perfect weather day, golf, chip-off and patio fun.
