Another week of summer has gone flying by. The sound of the wild geese in the air isn't quite so welcoming - it usually means fall is just around the corner.

What turbulence in our part of the world – thankfully, that weak tornado in Point Clark wasn't any worse. Again, we live in a wonderful community that cares for its neighbours. Those affected by the storm were so thankful for the people who helped get the roads cleared, especially the township workers.

Speaking of the weather, wasn't that a huge harvest moon this month!

Heather and Sam Finnie enjoyed having their grandchildren, Benjamin and Julianne Smith, visit for a few days. Gabrielle and Greg came to pick them up later on in the week.

Happy Wedding Anniversary to Jean and John Gillespie.

We are enjoying the virtual Kincardine Fall Fair this week, but will certainly be missing the physical aspect of the fair.

Joyce and John Farrell of the Wingham area hosted a family gathering, Sunday. Such great weather to enjoy each other's company.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of Donna Elliott, Bill Luinstra and Vera Orr.

Congratulations to Rob and Meg Fry on the birth of their little girl, Callie Lynn, Aug. 11! A little sister for Holden and Cole.

Happy Birthday to Paisley Farrell, Lynda Thacker and Brian Dewar last week.

The Farrell family hosted a birthday party for the grandchildren, Friday evening, and the newest member, Lane, was introduced to all.

Please drive carefully this weekend!
