South Bruce OPP report smashed cemetery pillar in Kincardine; and assault in Underwood

VEHICLE CRASHES INTO CEMETERY PILLAR
 

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Aug. 18, at 12:45 a.m., the South Bruce OPP was called to investigate after receiving a report that a vehicle had crashed into a pillar at the entrance to the Kincardine Cemetery located at Bruce Avenue and Queen Street in Kincardine.
 

Police arrived and found that a 2001 Honda CRV had sustained extensive front-end damage after crashing into the pillar.
 

The 57-year old female driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
 

Police continue to investigate the incident and ask anyone with information which may assist to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. POLICE CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE ASSAULT IN UNDERWOOD
 

(UNDERWOOD, ON) – The South Bruce OPP, with assistance from the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit, continues to investigate an assault that occurred in Underwood, Thursday morning.
 

Aug. 18, at 4:08 a.m., police received a call from Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) requesting assistance at a residence on Highway 21 in the Hamlet of Underwood.
 

Police arrived at the scene and learned that an altercation had occurred amongst several parties, resulting in injuries. A 45-year old female was transported to hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
 

Saugeen Shores Police Service assisted at the scene.
